This is a month of review. We look back on 2016 so far and for most of us it has been such an intense crazy roller coaster of a year. We have been in transition… and transition some more. Feeling like an endless caterpillar to butterfly and back to caterpillar type of cycle. We enter into September with Mercury Retrograde that takes up pretty much all of September (ending the 22nd). These three weeks will be about renewals, returns, reconnections, reunions, and new beginnings! Of course, reviewing the past and reflecting on recent actions is so necessary to prepare us to move into the future without getting hung up from the past. So synchronicity that my boyfriend and I ended our relationship on last months eclipse giving us both this month to review our relationship along with healing, plus next week I am attending a wedding for one of my best friends from childhood. Blast from the past with all my childhood friends attending! Couldn’t have asked for better energy to be with! This Mercury retrograde in Virgo it’s a great time to get organized, get creative and get grounded. Remember Merc-Ret rules communication and technology, so things may seem slow. I even had a dream two nights ago about my computer acting up! “Use this cycle to refine that art of communication and self expression. Strengthen your ability to articulate words so that you are honoring your feelings more accurately. What is being left unsaid?” -Saraswati J.
Check out this post I wrote about How to Survive Mercury Retrograde! These tips will really ground you if you start to lose it like I did last year in a Mercury retrograde cycle. Ughhhhhhh!
Not to dwell on more roller coaster dips, but we have a Solar Eclipse New Moon on September 1st in Leo. An eclipse brings change and some times drastic change. Like on last months Eclipse Full Moon, my boyfriend and I split and when we did it sprouted from what seemed like no where. Although no planet or astrological event can make bad or good things happen, some times energy lines up things for us and it makes it great to be aware of auspicious days. We all have free will and with the power of your thoughts you create your world. The universe does test or help you to remove or add things in our lives that sometimes we didn’t know we needed or didn’t need.
Astrology isn’t a religion. We’re not sure it’s a science, either. It’s magic, maybe. But, as with feng shui, say, things affect things. So as long as we don’t go blaming our problems on the stars, as long as we assume responsibility for our own actions…well, hell, a little auspicious coincidence and applicable wisdom can’t hurt. And so, with that grain of salt…enjoy! -Ashleigh Hitchcock
